Love Thyself?

I was studying my bible this morning, and I came to the scripture "Love thy neighbor as you love thyself." (Gal. 5:14, Matt.22:40, Lev.19:18). That is one of the greastest commandments for all of us to follow. The question that struck me is, do you love yourself? I know we hear people say this a lot, but really how can we love anybody else when we don't love ourselves? How much do we really love ourselves? If we love ourselves then why do we put ourselves in situations that is harmful to us? Some examples: abusive relationships, drug addictions, alcoholism, fornication, gluttony, lasciviousness, hatred, etc. Someone may ask, how are these things harmful or hurting me? All I can tell you is to look back over your life and ask yourself that question.

Be anxious for nothing

Phil4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing or about anything; but in ALL matters of life by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which you will not understand shall guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. In other words, have you found yourself praying about something and worrying about it at the same time. sure you have, ...we all do at some point. but this shall not be. when you pray give it to God and have the faith in God to know that He is working it out. that's why we are to pray with thanksgiving. once we pray about our situation whether it be finances, children , spouses, relationships, job, etc. we are to ALLOW God's peace to guard our hearts and minds from worry or anxiety. I say "allow" in lg print bc God gives us peace but sometimes we choose to fight off or go against that peace bc we think we gone change things by worrying. NOT! If you're worried or anxious about anything get down on your knees or pray right now bc that spirit is not of God. While you're praying ask God to forgive you for your unbelief/lack of faith

Is Our Heart at Peace with God?

Guard your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

What is in your heart? Is your heart at peace with God? Don't you know that our heart is like soil? It soaks up whatever has been planted into it. Are we guarding our hearts? Is our heart at peace with God? I'm pretty sure we know what that means. We've had situations where there was tension between you and someone else. We can recognize that tension or bad vibe. Do you recognize that same vibe between you and God?
Guarding our hearts: there are 3 gateways to our heart, the eyes, ears and mouth. There is also another gateway, the company that we keep.
Eyes: we should be aware of what we set before our eyes. When we see certain things we start to have a desire for it or begin to act upon it (Psalm 101 verse 3)
Ears: what are we listening to that is being planted into our hearts? Could it be the music, gossip, lies, cursing, etc. I'm pretty sure we know music can be influential. Music sets the atmosphere, right? Who wants to hear Gucci when it's time to make love :) What you hear changes how you feel. You ever had someone talk negatively to you about another person and it changed your feelings toward that person and they haven't even done anything to you. don't lie.
Mouth: the words that come out of our mouths can be a dangerous thing. The tongue is small but dangerous (James 3 verses 6, 9-10) What we hear others say can be dangerous too. Have you ever hung around someone and they kept cursing and eventually you began cursing. because we didn't turn away from it. we allowed it to soak in.
Company we keep: I don't care what you say, we know that we can allow others to influence us. It can be a good influence or a bad influence that depends on the person. People can change you. It could be a friend, family member, spouse, mate, co-worker, etc. Who is influencing you?

What is it or who is causing our hearts not to be at peace with God. What are those issues of life that is coming out of your heart? Is it evil thoughts, fornication, greed, pride, wickedness, etc? (Mark 7 verse 20-23) Don't blame your issues on satan. Look into your heart.

Before I Leave Here: Preparing for Death

Many of us do not like to talk about death or here others speak of it. I'm sure there may be times when we hear our love ones talk about dying we may say "don't talk like that." I know that I am guilty of making that statement. Why? Why do we not want or like to hear others talk about death. Many of us make the statement "we gone leave this earth one day." So why not prepare yourselves or others for that day? I admit I don't like to talk about dying. I don't like to hear my parents or grandparents talk about it. Am I afraid of dying? I'm not going to lie, yes I am afraid. I am not afraid of my destination because I am saved, but I am afraid because I do not want to leave my loved ones behind. There are things i want to experience and see before I leave this earth. But I do know that is not my call.
The topic of death may not be an amusing conversation but it is important. Even Jesus spoke of his death with his disciples. They (disciples) didn't like to hear Him speak of it, but yet Jesus prepared them. (Matt. 17verse 22-23) We have to do better at being prepared as well as preparing our loved one. I believe the first preparation is salvation. I pray that souls will be saved. But even for those who are saved, it doesn't just end there. How many of us have a will? I know I don't. How many of us have already made our funeral arrangement? Most importantly, how many of us have life insurance? Wow! I better get busy. Thank God that I am still here, me and my daughter.
So, if I am not prepared for death then why am I speaking of it? One reason is my lack of knowledge on death preparation. Also, my grandmother has been talking a lot about her death. Her burial plots and making sure that everything is in order. It bothered me at first to hear her talk like this, but I come to understand that she is doing what she's suppose to do. She is prepared and she's preparing her family. I understood even more once i read the scripture mentioned above. I've witnessed family members struggle to give their loved ones a proper burial. And, I know we have seen families fuss and fight over "unfinished business" their loved ones might have left behind or did not specify before leaving here. Jesus prepared His disciples for His death. The difference is Jesus knew when His time was approaching. We don't know.

Below are different links that can provide us with helpful information on preparing for death.

Peace

Tonight I was spending time reading God's word and I was studying scriptures relating to prayer. I began to meditate upon some of the scriptures and the word peace is strongly on my mind. I will admit that I am going through some tough times right now, but I recognize that I am not the only one going through tribulation. I will say this, in the midst of our trials and tribulations God want us to have peace. God does not want us to worry about ANYTHING, what we are going through nor worry about what is going on around us. I understand it is easier said than done, but that is what faith is all about. We are suppose to put our trust in God no matter what the situation looks like. God knows what is going on and nothing is too hard for Him. It may be hard for us and God knows that. That is why He tell us to cast all our cares (situations and troubles) upon Him instead of us trying to carry or fix the problem. God's word also says that in everything we are going through or dealing with, whether good or bad, we are to give thanks because our situation is the will of God for our life. So do you know what that means? That means God is in control. We are not telling Him anything that He does not already know. If God is at peace then we should be at peace. If God is resting during the time of a storm, we are to rest as well. We are not to worry. We are not to worry about what we should eat, wear, our bills, health, etc. Instead we are to talk to God, with confidence, about how we feel and give our troubles to Him. So that we may have peace in our hearts and minds. When we don't have peace we are not fully trusting God. We pray and ask for peace, but the problem is we are not allowing ourselves to be at peace. We have it backwards. It's seems as if we think that we are suppose to worry. That if we don't worry then we are not concerned about our situations. That should not be. We should be aware of our situations but not worried. What can we do by worrying? Nothing, but destroy our own selves. What can do by casting our troubles on God? We can enjoy the peace that He will give unto us.

His Thoughts

Has God ever told you to do something that just sound crazy or doesn't make any sense? And because it doesn't make any sense to us we start questioning whether or not is it God really speaking or just our minds. God has instructed me to do something that if anyone else knew about it they would think that I am stupid. I know that it is God because He has done it before and of course I didn't listen. I listened to others opinions instead of the one who knows best all because what He told me to do did not make sense to me.Well as you may know God rewards obedience just like we do with our own children. You also may know that God is not like us. He doesn't think like us nor act like us. Isaiah 55 verse 8&9 says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
This is where our faith in God comes in. Do we trust Him enough to follow His directions even when it does not seem reasonable? Do we trust Him to realize that He knows what is best for us even when others try to tell us different? Do we trust God's thoughts and His ways?

Word of Encouragement

I just want to give a word of encouragement. Do not be ashamed of your accomplishments or success just because others are not where you are. People may view you differently, say things about you or decide that they don't like you. Don't let other peoples' attitude or negative mindset allow you to become stagnant in your goals. The problem is not you it is them. If you're making good grades in school keep making those good grades. If you are successful in your career remain successful. If you are making a change in your life, whether it's physical or spiritual, continue to make that change. You should not feel like you have to lower your standards to someones level in order to please them. Instead, make them step up to your level.  Do you think Tyler Perry will stop making movies or plays because they become Box Office hits or sell out shows? No, he's moving forward and climbing higher. That's the direction we all should go, up not down. We all have our own choices. If you choose to do better and accomplish more in life, then be persistent in the choice that you have made. Be a leader not a follower. Remember who you are. You are Royalty.

How Well Do We Know Him?

For those of you that live in Spartanburg, SC, I know that you may be aware of all the senseless violence that is taking place in our city. If you don't live in this area, then I'm sure that you can relate to senseless violence in your community as well. We are dealing with violence all over the country. People are losing their children, parents, siblings, family and friends. This is ridiculous. This should not be. I know that violence is not anything new, but matters are getting worse when we as a community should be striving to make it better.
I asked God what makes us commit actions or make decisions that will bring harm to others? The answer was simple,"you don't know Me" What do we know about God? What do we know about God's personality or character? We know that He is faithful, compassionate, mighty, merciful and most of all God is love. I John 4 verse 7 says, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." (KJV) We are made in the image of God.( Genesis 1verse 26) We have the same qualities as God, but we don't recognize those qualities because we fail to recognize who God is. If we don't have love for others then we don't know God. God may not like our ways or the things that we do but He loves us. We've all been hurt some kind of way by somebody or we have caused pain in someone else life. Imagine how God must feel when He look upon the sins of His people. The people that He created in His image. Those that He has given dominion over the earth. It hurts Him to His heart. Genesis 6verses5,6 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart." After all our mess, it grieves the Lord, but He still loves us. God has no respect of person. He shows no favoritism, but we just bring some actions upon ourselves. God does not pick and choose who He loves. So how dare we pick and choose who we love. How dare we hate someone because of where they are from, what they do, where they live, decisions they have made, the color of their skin and so on. We are not perfect. How can we hate on someone because of their imperfections? What gives us the right to take some one's life because we want to? Knowing that we would not want someone to take our life or our loved ones. How can we decide who gets to keep their life or lose their life? That is not love. Love is of God not hatred. Our actions determines how well we know God.
I pray that we will gain knowledge of God on a personal level. That we will read, take heed to His Word and come to know the truth. That we will forgive those who have hurt us just as God has forgiven us so that we may walk in love.

He's Speaking. Are you Listening?

A friend and I was having a very interesting conversation on the phone the other day and she said something that struck me. She made a comment that "God is speaking, but people are not listening." I had to think on that for a minute. After pondering on her statement, i realized that she was telling the truth. I examined myself and the events that is going on around us and realized that may be the problem with most of us. God is speaking, we're not listening and we are being destroyed. Not only that, but do you realize that how we live our lives affect our offsprings (our children)?

There is so much evil, destruction and immorality taking place in our lives and in our minds because of the fact that we are not listening to the voice of the Lord and trusting Him enough to do what He tells us to do. We want to do things our own way. I don't know about you, but that is not working for me. This is what you call disobedience and I know that we are all guilty of that whether you are young or old.

The bible says in Isaiah 48 versus17 through 19, "Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way that you  should go. Oh, that you had heardened to My commandments! Then your peace and prosperity would have been like a flowing river and your righteousness like the abundant waves of the sea. Your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like the offspring of the sea: their name would not be cut off or destroyed from before Me." (amplified version)

God is instructing us and telling us which way to go because He knows what is good for us and He knows our purpose. We hear Him, but we're not listening. There is a difference between hearing and listening:
Hearing - you are able to hear or perceive what is being said
Listening - to give attention with the ear, to take heed and obey what is being told to you
There are benefits to listening and obeying the voice of God. Let me break down the 3 P's in the scripture above:
Profit - to gain an advantage or benefit
Peace - mind is free from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, obsession. your mind is not unraveled and you have a sense of calmness
Prosperity - success
It says your peace and prosperity shall be like a flowing river. Why like a river? When you look at or sit by a river, a river is quiet, calm and peaceful. A river is a natural body of water that flows together in the same direction into a larger body of water or a larger territory. Your righteousness is as large as a wave of the sea and we know a sea wave is strong enough to knock you down.

Do we want to be successful and have greatness in our lives? Do we desire these things mentioned above? If so, then we need to listen to the voice of the Lord.  He is here.

Killing Dreams

Killing Dreams
Last week some ladies was sharing with me about how they were being mistreated by their mothers and could not understand why. These ladies are single mothers and students in school trying to better themselves and pursue their dreams. They depend on their parents for help because they feel as if they don't have anybody else, but they are hurting because of how they are being treated and they feel as if they are stuck. My heart was filled with compassion and i knew at that moment  it was a time for ministry.

We are all here for a purpose, regardless of what our lives look like today. We were born with dreams and our dreams are our purpose that God has placed in us to pursue. See it's like this, we were not placed on this Earth to please ourselves nor other people, but we were placed here to please God.  God knows exactly what it is that He wants us to do, where He wants us to go and what we are capable of doing. We make the mistake of making our decisions based on what other people think and how it makes us feel.  Later on in life we end up regretting some of those decisions.

We are all born with a gift. There is something great in each of us. Other people will see your gift before you do. Satan doesn't want us to recognize our greatness. That is his biggest fear because when we recognize our greatness and began to pursue our purpose we become a powerful nation. Satan will use as many people as he can to keep us from doing just that. To keep us from pursuing our dreams/purpose satan will find those what i call "dream killers", but he doesn't have to go very far because most of those "dream killers" are members of our household, also known as family members. Well Tamara, why do say that? Is what most of you may be thinking. It is not I who says it I can only agree based on experience.
Matther 10 verses 34-36 says "Think not that I am come to send peace on Earth: I came not to send peace but a sword. For I am come to set a man against his father, daughter against her mother, daughter-in-law against mother-in-law and a man's foes (enemies) shall be they of his own household."  There it is right there.  Everybody will not agree or like your purpose. Apostle Ron Carpenter said today "Hardest people to see you going anywhere are the family members who know you best." It's true. It hurts too because we don't expect for our family members to be the ones to criticize our dreams, to talk down to us, to hinder us from going certain places, to give such negative opinions on decisions we make, but they do. They become our dream killers. Don't get me wrong, that may not be their intentions, for some anyway, but that's what they do. Those family members could be parents, siblings, spouses, grandparents, aunts, uncles, children, etc.

The two ladies that I spoke of earlier their mothers talk down to them. Telling them that they are not going to make it or be anything. They are wasting their time going to school when they have children to raise. These women keep striving to prove something to their mothers but they don't need to worry about that. All they need to focus on is pleasing God. That goes for all of us. They didn't understand why their mothers treat them the way that they do. I informed them that their mothers recognize something great in them that they probably don't recognize in themselves and their mothers are afraid that they will pursue their greatness. So they are trying to kill it.
Even with children that wants to leave home to go to a particular college, go into the service or pursue a career. Some parents will keep them from going to where ever it is that they want to go or attempt to talk them out of what it is that they want to do. Maybe it's because they are afraid for that child to leave home or they feel that child will not have a future in the career they have chosen. Regardless, you are killing dreams. Parents, you don't know your child's purpose and what God has called them to be or to go. Again, we are not here to please ourselves or others we are here to please God.
Spouses will hold one another back from pursuing their dreams. The husband may want the wife to stay at home or keep the job that she has because of the money she makes. The wife doesn't agree with her husband quitting his job to start that business that he has always dreamed of. She is afraid that it will not work and they will lose all that they have.

See what i mean. Satan will use members of our household against us to keep us from pursuing our dreams because of fearThat's why Jesus went on to say in verses 37-38 "He that loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me and he who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me."
Yes, we are suppose to love our parents, children and all our family members. But not more than we love the Lord because when God says go we have to pick up and go. You know what's in your heart. You know what it is God is telling you to do or where to go. Listen to the voice of the Lord. Beware of how much you share with others and the voices that you allow to get in your head. If it's negative cast it out. If it's wicked cast it out. If  it's unfruitful, cast it out. If' it's not what God has said to you, cast it out. Cast out the voices of "dream killers" and take heed to the voice of God.

Church: Is It a Tradition or a Lifestyle?

Psalm 84

Church: Is It a Tradition or a Lifestyle?

Why do we attend church?

Why do you not attend church?

Is attending church a tradition for you or is it a lifestyle?

What do I mean when I ask is attending church a tradition for you? Tradition:

Do you attend church because "it's the right thing to do" or because you grew up attending church and you feel guilty if you do not attend? Do you attend a particular church because that's your family's church? Your mama, daddy, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc attend that church. Perhaps, one of your family members may be the pastor of that church and you feel obligated to stay where you are. Are you spiritually growing and learning in the church that you attend? Do you hear the Word but don't apply it to your life? Are you the same person that you have been for years with the same mindset, personality and attitude? Not much has changed with you except for your age. Or are you there and feel safe to say "I attended church today?" Do you have a desire or a longing to be there? That's what  i mean by traditional.

Is attending church a Lifestyle:

Do you love to be in the house of the Lord where you feel free to worship? Are you learning more about God and His Kingdom? Do you feel yourself growing spiritually? Can you see a difference in your life? Are you attending a church, not where you are fed because being fed means that you are full, but where you are hungry and thirsty for more of God's word? When you hear the Word of God do you apply it to your everyday life? Are you only hearing the Word on Wednesday or Sunday,or are you studying the Word for yourself at home? (2 Timothy 2 vese 15) Do you feel good when you attend church? Do you feel revived? Most importantly, do you feel the presence of God?

Don't get me wrong when you read this. I had to ask myself the same questions a time before and now I can say attending church for me is a lifestyle when it use to be a tradition. I see a difference in my life. I am happy where I am, which is Redemption World Outreach Center in Greenville, SC. This blog is not intended to draw you to RWOC but to draw you to God. I look at some people who attend church every week and has been doing so for years, but you don't see a change in them. Some of these are older generations and they wonder why some of the younger people won't attend church. I come to realize that for those who don't feel the need to attend church are probably looking at you who attend weekly. They do not see a change in you and probably say to themselves, "what's the use for me". I have had conversations with people that attend church, but they are not happy or growing where they are. They continue to go because that's their family's church or whatever other reasons they may have. I've witnessed people go to church and then come home complaining about what's going on in the church. People this should not be. That is a very dangerous thing to do. I had to ask for forgiveness on that.

I want to know what is your reasons for attending or not attending church. Again, this is blog is not created to judge anyone. You are who you are. Share with us your views.

count it all joy: testimony

i want to share a testimony with you related to my blog Count it all Joy. on the evening that i had posted this blog, my daughter and i was out running errands. we had been out for awhile and we were hungry. my daughter wanted to go to Mr. Gattis and since she had been out of school this week, due to outpatient surgery she had, i wanted to treat her. i'm gone share with you all that i didn't have any money on me nor in my account. So i decided that i would write a check. we arrived at Mr. Gattis and as soon as i opened the door to walk in there was a sign that read "sorry we no longer accept personal checks". i told my daughter that we wasn't going to be able to eat there and she began to cry. she asked could we go to the chinese restaurant. we went there only to see the sign "no personal checks accepted". we turned around and my daughter cried even harder. so i suggested that we go to chick-fil-a because i just knew that they accepted checks. we go inside and i was told that they no longer accepted checks. this time i decided that we would just go home. my heart was broken because of the look of disappointment in my child's eyes and i felt like a failure. to top it all off, my gas hand was on empty, on the little red line. i went to the gas station. my plan was to use my card as a credit and guess what, i was denied. this time i wanted to cry. now, let me tell you how satan operates. in my mind, satan's battlefield, i could hear satan mocking me "count it all joy. you told others to count it all joy so lets see if you gone count it all joy. what you gone do now?" immediately, i started praising
God and i prayed that we would make it home and that God will supply our needs. we came home, had dinner and made smoothies.

Now,let me tell you how my God works. the following day I had woke up, went into my prayer closet and talked to God about my situation. Not too long after that my phone had rung while i was at the gas station pumping gas. it was my director from my job. now, before i go any furthur let me inform you that i had been working on my job as part-time status since January. My director was calling me to offer me a full-time position. HALLELUJAH, PRAISE GOD. God is soooo good. again, i just wanted to encourage someone to Count in all Joy, and expect to see something good out of whatever situation you may be going through. Trust God. Do not give up on Him

count it all joy

My brothers and sisters consider it joyous when we go through various trials; know this, that the testing of your faith produces patience (James 1 verse 2-3).

I'm pretty sure many of us have gone through something and have asked the question, "Lord why me" or may be you just wondered "Lord, what is going on"?  Someone may be asking those questions right at this very moment or probably feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. The situations that we go through may not feel or look good to us. We may not understand it and we will not always understand God. But God knows how we feel that is why He gives us instructions in His word. One of His instructions is for us to consider it joyous when we are going through our trials or hard times. I know what you may be thinking, easier said than done right? I can agree with that but I also know that it can be done. How can it be done? By dwelling on the positive instead of the negative. There is a positive somewhere in the situation. When we go through trials, God is testing our faith in Him. God is looking at our reaction to the situation. Whether we're going to trust Him or if we're going to give up and turn our backs on Him. By saying that (turn our backs) are we gone go back to some of our old evil ways or turn back to people that God has separated us from for whatever reason. We may not know it, but God knows what He is doing. He knows what it takes to get us to where we need to be. I don't know what your situation may be or how painful it is. I do know that through it all God is performing a good work in you (see He still working on me). You may be dealing with a death of a loved one. If so, my heart goes out to you. Know that, good can come out of that situation. I don't know if you all have seen Tyler Perry's Madeas Big Happy Family. If you have, you will notice that family was not happy or getting along until the mother had passed. Her death had brought the family together. Someone death may have caused a person to turn their life around. You may have lost your job. I know it's not easy, I've been there. I'm here to tell you to trust God. I know you have bills to pay and mouths to feed, but trust God. There is nothing too hard for God (Jeremiah 32 verse 27) and just enjoy your moment of rest (Matthew 11 verse 28-30). You know that job was stressing you out anyway :) I don't know who this was for, well actually i do know, it was for everyone who read this blog because we all are going through something. I just want to encourage you to count it all joy, look at the positive instead of the negative, allow God to complete His work in you and most of all TRUST GOD. Don't think that God is mad at you or that He doesn't love you. He loves all of us and what we go through is not to harm us but to do us good. God word says, For i know the thoughts that I thinks towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29 verse 11). Think on that and as you do talk to God. Let Him know how you feel. Be real with God. He knows how you really feel anyway and He always keeps it real with us.

Be Blessed.

Reverse roles

Ladies! Is it me or does it seem like our roles as women has reversed? What i mean by that is we don't just carry on the role as women but we also carry on the role of men. Why is that? Now i'm not speaking about single mothers or single women who live alone because in that situation we have to be the woman and the man of the house. Meaning we have to tend to our children, take care of our homes and be the provider. I'm talking about when we are in relationships or marriage. I have noticed that many of us are taking on the role of men and not allowing a man to be a man. I've experienced it myself and i see it in so many others. For example,
  1. for women who have their own places, why does the man have to move in with us? now i understand if you have your own and he has his own and when you come together in marriage you may choose your place because of maybe size and family, but after awhile he should be finding a place for his new family. but other than that why do we allow the man to move into our homes? (2 Timothy 3 verses 1-7)
  2. why are we working and trying to pay the bills while the man is at home chillin or "keeping the children", hanging with his homeboys or riding around in "your" vehicle wasting your gas and you be the one to fill it back up? why is he not working whether he make more or less than you and being the provider? (1 Timothy 5 verse 8)
  3. if the man is working, why are you struggling to pay the bills and take care of the children while he spends his money on whatever he pleases and give to you what he wants you to have?
  4. why do we continue to sleep with them, give our beautiful precious bodies to them when they have not put a ring on it, paid the price for us or realize what we are worth? (Matthew 7 verse 6)
You know i am telling the truth. I know that i am not the only one who has experienced this or know somebody else who is going through the same. I am not saying that all homes or men are like this, but we see a lot of these "reversed roles" in society today. And we wonder why so many homes are in chaos,Why so many women are tired, stressed and depressed, why there are so many abusive, violent, domestic relationships and why so many men are lazy. Not only because of wives or girlfriends, but because of mothers too.

Do you not feel like the roles have reversed? Do you not feel like we are not allowing men to men? The bible say for us to be help meets not the provider. If we can get our own (homes, cars, jobs, careers, education) why can't he? "Women we should be contributors, but allow the man to fulfill his role, too" (TD Jakes, The Lady, Her Lover and Her Lord)

He still working on me

Today I went to Walmart and when i was at the register checking out the clerk asked me do i remember the song He still working on me? I said yes. She said "that song has been in my head all day and it's good to know that God is still working on me." It is good to know that God is still working on us. God's word says in Phillipians 1verse 6, Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.  That is basically saying that we can be confident and happy in knowing that when God starts working on us He will continue to work on us until Jesus Christ returns. As Steve Harvey titled his stand up comedy show "Don't Trip God is not Through with me Yet." And look at Steve Harvey now! Some of us recognize the fact that God is working on us and we feel so much better than before and some of you are resisting and you are miserable. It's doesn't feel good when you go against the will of God. Allow God to work on you. It is a process but that process starts with you. The process is not easy there are lessons to be learned, but it's up to you on how fast you will learn those lessons. Don't resist God. Don't make the process or the journey longer than what it has to be (read the story of the Isrealites when Moses lead them out of Egypt). For those of you who acknowledge the fact that God is working you, rejoice and be glad. Imagine what the outcome is going to be. I Corinthians 2 verse 9 ...Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. That's something to shout about right there! I am glad to know that God is working on me and I am ready to see what else He has in store for me. Do you feel the same? For those who are more spiritually mature than others please do not look down on those who are not there yet. Help them. Lift them up and be encouraged. Keep in mind that you were once there.

Be Blessed!    T. Nash

Welcome!

Welcome to I am Royalty!! This blog is created for women all over, regardless of race, age or social status. God has the same message for us all. I don't know if some of you noticed that eventhough we may come from different backgrounds and live different lives, we all have something in common. I can name a couple of things myself just from my experiences and others. A lot of us women are dealing with pain, low self-esteem and other issues, but Hallelujah! There is an antedote to our problems and it is the word of God! How often do we hear, read and apply the word of God to our lives? Probably not enough. How do i know? Because you can never get enough of the Word. Ladies, we need the Word. We need to hear the Word, read the Word, be a doer of the Word and sow the Word into others (James 1:22). We have to come together and get right. Ladies, we are losing ourselves! We are losing ourselves to fornication, relationships that are not of God, drug addiction, alcoholism(alcohol addiction) , depression, abuse, hatred, etc. It's time for us to recognize who we are so we may share it to others. Someone is watching us. We have daughters, sisters, nieces, little girls or teenagers looking up to us.

So, who are we? We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar (strange) people; that we should show forth praises of Him who hath called us out of darknesss into His marvelous light (I Peter 2:9). We are royalty! Lets walk like it.

Welcome to the blog. I pray that we will receive something from it. That we will grow spiritually. That we will do the work of the kingdom by sowing seeds into other people lives (Matt. 13:37). We will not disrespect one another or one another opinions. That we will pray for another and lift eachother up. That we will be healed, delivered and set free from all pain, addictions, strongholds and anything else that is keeping from being what God has called us to be and doing what He has called us to do. Bless this ministry Lord. Let Your will be done. Touch every heart that read this blog and get involved. We need you Lord. Help us realize what we are worth and who we are. That we may be examples to others and that we may be leading ladies. In Jesus name, Amen.
